Bathrooms for Life Limited is a bathroom installation company based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. We supply and install accessible bathrooms, wet rooms, and bathroom adaptations in domestic properties across West Yorkshire and the surrounding region.
We are the data controller for all personal information we collect in connection with our services. This means we are responsible for deciding how and why your information is used.

- Basic information about your property relevant to the installation
During the survey and quotation process

- Photographs of your bathroom and relevant areas of your property
- Information about your health condition or disability, where you choose to share this — for example to support a VAT exemption declaration or so that we can design an installation that meets your specific needs
- The name and contact details of any family member, carer, or representative you ask us to communicate with
During the installation
- A record of any pre-existing damage at your property
- Completion documentation including your satisfaction rating and any comments you provide
- Photographs of the completed installation, with your consent
After the installation
- Records of any warranty or guarantee claims
- Records of any complaints and how they were resolved
- Marketing preferences — whether you wish to hear from us about future products or services
3. Why We Use Your Information and Our Legal Basis

A note on email marketing and brochure requests: where you have requested a brochure through our website and also opted in to our marketing list, you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you, or by contacting us at info@bathroomsforlife.co.uk. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect your ability to receive service-related communications about an installation or warranty.
4. Who We Share Your Information With
4.1 We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share it only where necessary to deliver your installation or to comply with the law.
4.2 We may share your information with:
- Sub-contracted installers — who need your name, address, and job details to carry out the installation. They are contractually required to keep your information confidential and to handle it in accordance with our instructions.
- HMRC — where we are required to provide VAT exemption declarations or other tax records.
- Building Control authorities or competent person scheme providers — where a completion certificate or compliance notification is required for your installation.
- Our insurers — where a claim arises that involves your property or an incident at your home.
- Legal or regulatory authorities — where we are required to do so by law.
4.3 We do not transfer your personal data outside the United Kingdom.

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We store customer records securely using password-protected systems. Access to customer data is limited to those who need it to carry out your installation or manage your warranty. Our sub-contracted fitters are required to handle customer information securely and to delete it when no longer needed for the job.
If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and will notify you without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you.
