Oliver Strangeway founded Bathrooms for Life after spending years watching the same gap from two different sides.

In the retail bathroom industry, he worked with customers who wanted a space that was both stylish and built around their changing needs. The products existed. The design knowledge existed. But nobody was putting them together into a service that treated the customer as someone with taste, not just someone with a problem to solve.

In his work as an operations consultant across the NHS and local councils, Oliver specialised in timely hospital discharges, falls prevention strategies, and maximising independence at home. Getting people back into their own homes and keeping them there. Time and again, the barrier was the same: the adaptations available were functional but grim. Patients would go home to bathrooms that looked institutional and felt like a surrender. Some chose not to go home at all.

Oliver and Marcus both grew up and live in West Yorkshire and have spent their careers working in and around its communities. Our customers are our neighbours. We are not a national chain with a local phone number.
